SPY The V Word. At Spy, we've toiled over the years to find the perfect statement to describe our mission in the world of action sports and optics. We came up with verbose pages, entire paragraphs, and a few succinct sentences, but never those magic three words or less. So, in a momentary lapse of reverse genius, we stepped inside the box and took a look around at where we've been to remind us where we're going.
The box was orange. Not, aggressive like red, but still hot to the human eye. It kick starts us every time we see it, because it
combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It increases oxygen levels in the brain, thus stimulating mental activity
all of which converges at our ultra-cool SPY LAB..

ARC™
ARC™ (Accurate Radius Curvature) lenses are used throughout our high-wrap collections to provide optically correct, distortion-free vision.
Using the same technology astronauts and fighter pilots use on their helmet shields, ARC™ lenses complement the natural curvature of the
human eye and become thinner as they move away from the optical center of the lens. ARC™ lenses are engineered to eliminate distortion
and provide a total absence of prismatic aberration and astigmatism. All ARC™ lenses are Optical Class 1 quality.
UV Protection
In addition to providing the highest in optical clarity, Spy lenses provide 100% UV protection. All Spy lenses, including clear, absorb 100%
of ultraviolet light, including UVA, UVB, and UVC, and provide powerful protection against the harmful effects of all types of solar radiation.
Filtering agents are integrated in the lens-manufacturing process and provide eye protection in every type of environment.
Polycarbonate (PC) Lenses
Spy’s performance Scoop® sport collection utilizes lenses that are optically engineered to offer exceptional strength and shatter resistance.
Spy performance series lenses undergo extensive testing and will not crack or shatter when impacted by a steel ball bearing at 160km/hr.
They have also passed tests where a 500-gram pointed weight is dropped on them. Spy polycarbonate sport lenses have a polysiloxane
coating that is heat-hardened at 120 degrees Celsius to give the lenses incredibly high resistance to scratching and abrasion.
Trident™ Polarized (PC and CR-39) Lenses
Spy manufactures high quality injected Trident™ Polarized lenses. Spy’s Trident™ Polarized lenses diffuse glare through the use of a highlyadvanced polarizing filter placed between two injected lens layers, allowing incredible clarity, even in the harshest conditions. Trident™Polarized lenses effectively eliminate over 99% of blinding glare. All Spy polarized lenses conform to the Optical Class 1 system.
All SPY lenses provide 100% Ultraviolet protection.
