Frequently Asked Oakley Sunglasses Questions
Warranty & Repair Info & Phone Number 1.800.431.1439
Can I get polarized lenses in my Oakley non-polar glasses?
Oakley Polarized lenses are made thicker than standard or Iridium coated lenses. Due to the thickness of the lens, frames are made to fit around polarized lenses. Polarized lenses would not properly fit into frames that are intended for standard or Iridium lenses.
Can I change the color of my Oakley glasses?
Oakley Sunglasses offers a wide variety of color combinations of both frames and lenses. We ask that our customers carefully select the right one for him/her before committing to the purchase. For warranty purposes, we offer part for part and cannot change the color of the frames. Only a select few pairs of glasses, such as the M Frames or X Metals, do we offer different colored lenses for purchase regardless of the original color combination. Please contact Oakley's Customer Service for more information.
Can Oakley sunglasses lenses be buffed?
The Iridium coated lenses should be treated with special care. When not wearing your Oakley sunglasses they should be stored in the Micro Bag received with your glasses. Use only the Micro Bag to clean the lenses. If you need to use a cleaning solution, use a mild soap with warm water, do not use any solvents or chemicals. The Micro Bag consists of extremely fine fibrous threads tightly woven together. The actual thread substance and construction method are of a sponge-like quality that lifts grease, moisture and dirt from the lenses. The Micro Bag is machine washable and should be kept clean.
Can I purchase the Oakley M Frame separately for my extra lenses?
The Oakley M frame only is not available for purchase. The lenses are made to be interchangeable with the original frame. If the frame has cracked or is broken due to what seems to be a defect, they can send it in and once evaluated as a defect we'll replace the frame at no charge if covered under warranty, or for a nominal charge if outside the warranty coverage.
How can I tell if my Oakley sunglasses are real or not?
Determining if they are real or counterfeit (fake Oakley sunglasses) is very, very difficult to accomplish over the phone. Send them to Oakley for certified technicians to evaluate your Oakley sunglasses.
How should I send a package in for warranty?
We always recommend that all customers send their packages in with some sort of traceable or insurable carrier. Oakley sunglasses cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.
Are my Oakley sunglasses OSHA or ANSI Z87.1 approved? What is the difference?
