Lifetime Warranty
We warranty our sunglasses against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product...not for a year, but a lifetime.
Since eventual wear and tear can be expected, reasonable repair charges will be levied if repairs are necessary as a result of normal wear, scratched lenses, broken hinges, accidental damage, misuse or any other problems not determined to be a manufacturing defect. Costa will repair or replace, at our option, any product determined by Costa to be a manufacturer's defect. A processing fee of $11.95 (plus sales tax in CO, DE, FL, MI, NJ, RI, SC, TX) will be charged for each warranty claim processed. We do not accept checks.
Costa uses UPS to ship all international repairs, as well as, repairs to AK, HI and PR. These repairs are charged Costa’s negotiated shipping rates.
PRESCRIPTION REPAIR INFORMATION
If your prescription Costa lenses are damaged or are in need of repair, please contact your Eye Care Practitioner for replacement lens options. If your Rx frame needs repair, please use the repair form. Costa can repair or replace Rx frames based on the one year warranty.
All Costa frames for prescription lenses are warranted for one year from the time of purchase for defects in materials and workmanship, with proof of purchase.
Repair Service
Costa provides a repair service for sunglasses that are damaged by accident, normal wear, or misuse and are not covered under our lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. For a nominal fee payable by credit card or money order only, and if the parts are still in inventory, Costa will repair or replace scratched lenses, frames and other parts as required. Check Status of Your Repair
We recommend insuring your package against loss by the carrier and using a carrier that provides traceability. Be sure to include the printed form that is computer-generated from the online system above with all repairs submitted to Costa. A processing fee of $11.95 (plus sales tax in CO, DE, FL, MI, NJ, RI, SC, TX) will be charged for each warranty and repair.
If it is determined that your Costa sunglasses are not covered under warranty, you will be contacted via email with repair pricing. You will be able to approve which repairs to move forward with and pay for them via credit card online. If we have not received a response from you after 30 days of trying to contact you, then your sunglasses will be sent back to you as is.
Our Automated E-Mail Response Service (AERS)
This unique service keeps you from having to call Costa for a status report of your repair. You will receive an automated response informing you of when your sunglasses have arrived at Costa for repair and you will also receive an automated response of when they have been returned to you. At any time, you can check the status of your repair using our online repair system notification using the link above.
